We would like to thank Fenix Insight for their recent support in helping to secure a £10,000 donation for Prevail. The money was provided by Fenix’s main investor, David Harding, via his foundation, to support our EOD operations and training.
This is the largest donation we have ever received, taking the stress off our immediate operational costs and allowing us to focus more on fundraising for Prevail’s medical component. Fenix Insight is a small commercial company providing specialist EOD services, including the disassembly, analysis and testing of live munitions all over the world.
Fenix has been heavily involved in Ukraine for many years, providing training at the original EOD school in Kharkiv and advising on demining operations before the war. They worked with ICRC and OSCE in Donbas after the first invasion and have undertaken several visits during the recent conflict. Fenix maintains a vast reference database of technical intelligence on munitions and related events, which they provide to users around the world.
As part of our partnership, Prevail uses, and contributes to, this valuable resource. Fenix has also printed and distributed nearly 50,000 packs of ordnance awareness playing cards to schools, communities and front-line units across Ukraine, which you will see regularly in our posts.
The founders of Prevail first visited Fenix’s UK office in 2023 and we’re delighted that we now work together to exchange crucial munitions intelligence and ideas for continued support. We look forward to their next visit in the coming weeks.
